How successful is your outsource?

To Assess how effective your current outsource arrangements are, consider the following questions:

  • Is the service specification (e.g. types of service and scale of operations) still in line with current requirements?
  • Are the outsourcer’s charges valid and calculated in accordance with the contract?
    Are cost and/or gain shares being correctly applied?
  • Has the outsource delivered the expected benefits and synergies e.g. efficiency gains?
  • Are performance measures still in line with current objectives and requirements?
    Is the outsourcer’s performance reporting reliable?
  • Is there an effective way of resolving performance issues?
  • Is there an up to date Assessment of the scenarios that might make an early exit from the outsource arrangement necessary?
  • Is there a contingency plan to continue the business in this event – e.g. take back in-house or replace the outsource provider?
